FAQ
General
-
Which carrier does Divas Premier use?
Shipping is handled by the United States Postal Service, UPS, or Federal Express and is based on your purchase total.
-
Where does Divas Premier hair come from and is it really Remy?
Divas
Premier hair is 100% real human hair and comes directly from donors in
India, Europe and Malaysia. We ONLY sell authentic 100% human remy hair.
Our hair is the best on the market and will last the longest BECAUSE we
ONLY sell NATURAL, virgin, remy, full cuticle, 100% real human hair.
Unlike other hair sold on the market, Dreamgirls hair is unprocessed
with all of the cuticles intact and running in the same direction. This
prevents tangling, matting and sever shedding. It comes from single
source donors and contains no animal or synthetic hair at all. Our hair
is homogeneous in origin and color, and naturally thick and beautiful
from root to tip.
-

Shipping currently is only offered in the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, and APO/FPO addresses.

Extensions/Wefts
-
What is Virgin Hair?
Refers to
hair that is completely unprocessed, and intact. To qualify as virgin
hair, it must meet rigorous standards including: not been permed, dyed,
colored, bleached, chemically processed in any way. This also means it
comes from a single donor, and all the cuticles are intact, running in
the same direction. Usually, it also means that is has not been
blow-dried, nor exposed to harsh agents such as cigarette smoke and
drugs.
-
How much hair will I need?
It really
depends on the look you are going for. For partial weaves you will
typically need anywhere from 4 oz (1/4 pound) to 6 oz. For the average
full head weave you will need at least 8 oz (1/2 pound) of hair. Longer
and fuller styles typically require more hair. For people going for a
fuller look, or working with hair 22 inches or longer, they should
consider purchasing anywhere from 12 to 16 oz. Many of our customers
purchase different lengths for natural layering (ex. 18", 20", &
22").
-
How do you care for Virgin hair?
Because this
is 100% human remy hair you would care for this hair just as you would
your very own. Wash and condition it regularly. You can blow dry, but we
recommend drying the hair by either sitting under a hair dryer or when
possible let your hair air dry. Here is a tip, for flowing loose curls
with out heat, try braiding your hair up at night, be sure to tuck it in
a scarf or bonnet of some sort, the result will be curls that last all
day.
-
Can I cut and trim Virgin hair?
Most
definitely. Remember this is natural hair, so it needs the same
attention and care that you would give your own. Your own natural hair
needs to be trimmed and cleaned up for it to flow the way you would
prefer.....so the Virgin Remy hair needs the same attention. We
recommend trimming and cleaning up your ends after your initial
installment of your weave or extensions. This will allow your hair to
flow beautifully! As far as cutting, it would definitley be your choice
depending on your style, but we ALWAYS recommend that every client
makes this hair their own, by framing your face and finding a style that
fits YOU.
-
How often should I wash Virgin hair?
Wash it as
often as you like and condition when possible, remember this hair is
very strong and durable. Be careful to pay attention to your natural
hair underneath, making sure to dry it properly to prevent mildew.
-
How long will this hair last?
With proper care, this hair will last until YOU decide that you're ready for new hair.
-
Can I color Virgin hair?
Yes. You can
color or highlight your remy hair with any permanent color kit
available at most beauty supply or drug stores. It is highly recommended
by Divas Premier that you allow a professional to color your hair to
avoid any damages.

Lace Wigs
-
What is a lace wig?
A lace wig
or a lace front wig is a special type of hairpiece or wig designed with a
sheer lace base. Lace front wigs are made with real human hair which
tied, by hand, to a sheer lace base.
-
How long will a lace wig last?
A lace wig
unit can last for many months or even years depending on your usage and
upkeep. The types of glues that are used during the application method
also applies to the life span of your unit. For example, the lace wig
can be compared to the tires on car; of course the more you drive your
car, the more worn down the tires become and the need for replacement
tires becomes greater. The idea remains that if you plan to wear your
wig more often, the natural need for a new unit will become greater as
the hair naturally degrades due to extended periods of use.
-
Can I swim in a lace wig?
Yes. You can
do your usual activities with this wig on daily. Only avoid swimming or
sweating for 24 hours after applying adhesives and tapes. If you. Other
than that, no one will ever know the hair is not growing from your own
scalp! Also make sure you use a waterproof adhesive. Not all adhesives
and glues are waterproof.
